Materialism is an event.
In the middle of the canvas (stretched on frame), the material have been removed and deported even more at the center of the space of the frame. The subject of the painting is the action that took place on its surface : a transfer of matter. While the production of digital objects increases, because we can copy them very quickly, conflicts of interest related to the world called « material » do not seem in doubt and increase the heterogeneity of a yet globalized world. In the digital domain, the development of the cryptography makes walls and increase even more the disparities in the access to data. This « new world » reproduces the same appropriation mechanisms that take place in the traditional world. Materialism is a fact. The painting presents a precise action on the subject : the transfer. The transfer is a recurring event in our environment, this event is at the origin of numerous imbalance.

The limit of the transfer is the rupture of the system on which it rests.

<(Fr.)
