Fundamentalism is a block of thermocompressed flax . The historical ingredient of the composition of a canvas, flax, fibre spun and woven, is always hidden under layers of paint. This is at the base of Western painting history, but always lurking in the shade, an organic matter reflecting an aesthetic of the invisible.
